Had a Breville and it leaked grease on the counter. Also grill plates were not removable. Love this grill. All grease goes into grease tray and grill plates get totally clean brcause they come out and can go in dishwasher! Love my new grill!!!

This appliance was given to me a a gift. I wanted it to replace my Foreman Grill. The Foreman Grill does a good job of grilling, but is difficult to clean. The Cuisinart unit has removable plates that are easy to wash because I can dunk them in a sink full of hot, soapy water and scrub them clean.

I bought my countertop griddle a few weeks back. I have used for burgers and steaks I like how I can sear the meat and then reduce the heat to slow cook.

I had been thinking about getting a Griddler for some time, looking at them in stores but always holding out: I didn't want yet another large item I wasn't going to use cluttering up my kitchen cabinet. I should have "caved" years ago --- the Cuisinart Griddler is WONDEDRFUL!! I use it for French toast, bacon and eggs, and other breakfast things; forte rerrific grilled or Panini sandwiches at lunch; or to grill a steak at dinner. It's quick, easy. and the more you use it, the more you like it. SOfar, I have not cleaned the plates in the dishwasher ---- it's so easy to pop them out and clean them under the faucet, why bother? It's also easy todry them, pop them right back, then put the machine in the cabinet. It does NOT take up much space ---- but keep it somewhere convenient, since you should be using it a lot. I have what I believe is a ""standard" size ---- not too big. (There's enough room to fit four small slices of French toast on each side.)
