Cons: Diagonal drip plate kind of weird to take in and out Too many dials--should be 1 dial for temp and another for function Would be better if the on/off button was timer rigged like a toaster for safety

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re glad you find the unit feels solid and that the plates pop on and off easily. We also appreciate your feedback on the drip plate and the dial layout—your suggestions are helpful as we continue to improve our products. This is my second press from Cuisinart. My first one lasted over 20 years, it still worked but the knobs were in bad shape from wear and tear. I love the new features..i,e, drip tray, push button release for plates and the ability to lay the plates flat.

Poor temperature regulation. Even the highest temperature setting doesn't sear. Plain old electric skillet works much better

We are sorry to hear that the temperature did not reach the level you expected. For best results, allowing the unit to preheat fully and ensuring even contact with the food can help improve searing. We understand this may not match the performance of a traditional electric skillet. Our Consumer Assistance team can provide additional guidance or discuss options at 1-800-726-0190.

Just bought a new Griddler to replace one I had for yeeeaaars that I wore out. I cook all sorts of burgers and boneless chicken breasts and thighs and breakfast meats and pancakes and waffles (with the plates). Recently served grilled ham n cheese to lunch guests and I think they went out and bought a Griddler for themselves!

I bought an older model of the griddler many years ago to replace my flat griddle and waffle maker. (The waffle plates are an additional purchase, but I absolutely love them!) The plates and drip tray can go in the dishwasher making for easy cleanup. Since it is half the size of a flat griddle it is also easy to store. My old one lasted several years (maybe 10) and still works fairly well as a griddle. The heating started to get a little uneven, which made it hard to cook the waffles. I am hoping this model lasts me a decade!
