Disappointed with the Travelpro Crew Classic Carry-On Spinner

As a longtime Travelpro Crew user, I had high hopes for the latest Crew Classic Carry-On Spinner. Unfortunately, this iteration feels like a step down in quality.
The exterior material stains noticeably easier than previous models, making it less travel-friendly.
The roller handle lacks the rigidity I'm used to, giving a flimsy feel during use.
The compression straps aren’t very functional—they make it hard to cinch clothing down effectively.
A key disappointment: the side and top handles appear to be permanently fixed now, removing the option to replace them if they wear out. That’s a letdown for those of us who travel often and expect longevity.
Travelpro has always been my go-to for durable and reliable luggage, but this version makes me reconsider. I’ll be exploring other brands moving forward.

We purchased two of the Crew Classic Medium suitcases as well as the large Crew Classic Carry On. We just took a trip with them and we are very satisfied with all three pieces.

Love it but design has changed

My husband has used his classics crew carry on for two years & loves it, he flys frequently from NY to California & it has always fit in the overhead bin on Jet Blue.
I ordered the same bag for me this year & they changed the design. Leather trim color is slightly different. I do prefer the original, the outside pocket has changed again, I prefer the original also the new bag is not as wide as the original one. Inside features are also different. The inside pocket was removable on the original design, but not on this design. The workmanship does seem good. I’m expecting it to stand up as well as the one my husband‘s been using. I’m taking it on its first journey this week. Maybe they changed the design to fit new carry on guidelines for carry on bags.

Too small

I absolutely love travel pro products. I have a suitcase that has lasted me for over 25 years. So when looking for a spinner, I thought give it a try. It’s beautifully made fantastic handling in the wheels are very smooth. The material is beautiful. But when it really came down to it, the amount of space taken up by the spinner wheels doesn’t allow enough room for packing. Great for a four day weekend, but not for a two week European trip. The one thing that could have made it better was for a more accessible front zipper pocket. But it’s super stiff and if you put anything in it, it sticks out too far to allow the suitcase to be stowed in an overhead compartment. So, I reluctantly returned it and used my old two wheel standby.
