Best nonfull-frame camera ever!!

Before to buy this camera I REALLY have spent hours and hours reading a lot of reviews. I have compared a lot of models including the full frame models. For me high quality under high ISO is fundamental and together with the huge amount of pixels I decided to buy this camera. Now I can't be more happy!! This camera is simply perfect!! Look:
It has the right price.
Very good noise levels under 3200.
Full hd video
18 megapixel
Near perfect body desing
A loooooot of features
By the way Canon has the best lenses comparing to others trademark. So now I can take pictures inside a helicopter, during the night, can use the built-in flash. In sumary I'm ready for any situation without miss a shot.
That's the best way to stay in the nonfull-frame world and save money without miss the quality!!
All the competition cameras (same price) don't have this features and this quality. I strong recommend it to anyone that needs a upgrade or even is thinking to move to dslr world because is to cheap comparing the quality.
Do as me: Read a lot of review in other sites and choose this one!!
Pros: good battery life, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Glad I Upgraded

I upgraded from the 40D. As much as I loved my 40D I figured it was time to move on. The photo clarity and quality on the 7D is extremely detailed. I am extremely pleased with the new level this camera has taken my photography to. Especially with my 70-200mm IS L Series Lens. The new auto focusing system is fast and does what it says it is suppose to do. I often shoot sports (football and basketball) and a high percentage of my shots are usable. The 8 fps along with the AF system allows this camera to compete with any pro high fps camera out there. The menu is easy to navigate and to set up. The highlight tone priority does it's job. I read one review where it was said this was a problem in low light situations with shadows and highlights. Not for me. This camera has performed above my expectations. My only gripe is the noise the camera tends to get over 4000 ISO. The 7D is definitely a new breed of camera. I would recommend this camera to anyone who was serious about their photography. My last gripe is the battery life. My 40D seemed to last longer than this one. But the grip and an extra battery should solve my issue with that.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Love It!

Stepped up from the 450D (XSi) to the 7D as soon as I could and boy am I happy I did! I consider myself a "serious amateur" photographer making no money from my pictures.
I literally got the camera, didn't read the manual immediately and used it the next day to take over 900 shots. Now that I have had time to actually read the manual, I see even better results. There are many more settings to learn and I am looking forward to using the 7D for many years to come. I don't see myself upgrading again for at least 3-4 years.
The only "con" I am listing here is that when recording video with image stabilization turned on, the noise of the IS system comes through in the recording. You can really tell the audio issue when it is a quiet environment but not really if you are recording at a birthday party, etc. where there is a lot of background noise. If it weren't for this, I would have given it 5s across the board.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, easy to use
Cons: i s noise on video recording

Excellent Entry Level Pro Camera

I have owned the D-7 for a little over three months and have taken a few thousand exposures under a variety of lighting conditions. I have been amazed at the camera's extensive features, my favorite being the quick menu button that I use frequently to make exposure adjustments. The image quality is exceptional, especially when paired with Canon's L lenses. The resulting prints are comparable to prints made from medium format film cameras. Two criticisms - I have found that in sunlight the 19 point evaluative metering tends to overexpose by 2/3 stop and the auto white balancing is not very useful in low light. Otherwise an exceptional camera.
Pros: excellent image quality, Superior build quality, great features for the money
Cons: exposure can be a problem under certain lighting c

Incredible Feature Set and Great Performance

I previously owned the 50D. Compared to the 50D, I like the following improvements/differences:
- 19 point customizable focus system
- 1X Viewfinder - very bright and large
- Very low noise up to 800 ISO
- Nice quality 1080P video - although focusing can be tricky for moving subjects
My only gripe is that it does not have a second memory card slot. It would be nice to be able to use SDHC cards.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, fast af
Cons: lack of second memory card slot

Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation
Cons: Heavy/Bulky

Awesome Camera!

I purchased this camera because my point and shoot was not longer cutting it. With my new baby, I couldn't delay this purchase any longer for fear or losing important family moments because of a cheap point and shoot. I'm not a camera expert but have a lot of experience in IT. I purchased this camera based on the recommended of a colleague who is a camera expert. In short, it was a great recommendation. The learning curve is short and it is high on quality and features. It just simply works and works really well. I recommend this to anybody who is prepared to make a serious investment in a prosumer camera and ditch their point and shoot.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Great new features

I purchased the canon 7D as an upgrade from my 50D. I glad the put all the necessary features that makes it easy to use.the camera have a great design and feel.So far the issues I encountered might help others to check their 7D if they have the same issues with mine.I bought the 7D last week and i encounter some problems with the liveView mode on manual setting in certain light conditions.I can see 3 faded brown lines or shadows across the LCD while at video mode.it also moves from the bottom up.So i went back to the store and have it replaced. Now i have a new 7D on my hands and tested it on the same conditions i had before and guess what?! it happen again. Is this a batch problem with canon?i dont know? still trying to get some answers if this is a defective camera or what.I would still get this 7D.I want canon to resolve this issues. it also can be seen on myplayback,so I'm assuming it's the sensor.Somehow the flouriscent light in my room affects the sensor in manual setting in video mode.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, easy to use
Cons: issues on liveview in certain light situations
