I love this camera. Best one I have owned to date. I upgraded from a AE1-Digial Rebel to Rebel xti and now the 7D, only regret is that I did not do it sooner. Only drawback was the price, but still so glad I jumped in. love, love, love it!
Pros: good battery life, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Solid Operation
I bought this camera for a backup and sports camera. It never gave me tack sharp pics. I sent it back and they reset it to factory but I'm still not happy with it.Took me years to move up to canon and I get a lemon.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
I've been humming and hawing about this upgrade from a 50D for several months. Absolutely without a doubt worth it. I even purchased 2 5Dll's to compare with the 7D's. One for me and one for my wife as we have friendly competitions. I took the 5Dll's back after some very long and hard decisions. I compared both the 7D and the 5Dll's and saw with our own eyes that the 7D was indeed clearer blown up. I was told that we would see that the 5Dll's were better blown up. Wrong. If you are on the fence about upgrading to full frame, take a good hard look at the 7D. But make sure you use good glass. We both have the 24-105 L glass on the 7D's and the pictures we came back home with were stunning compared to our 50D's we both have. Don't hesitate to buy this amazing camera.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
It's sad that a camera like the 7d would cost so much and only able to deliver on half its hype. I've had the 7d for over a year now and every single time I try to use video, the camera shuts down every few minutes. This was never mentioned in any marketing I saw before I purchased the camera. I had to find out the truth from reading massive numbers of reviews that nearly everyone has the same problem...this is truly horrible.
Pros: quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD
Cons: Shaky operation, Complicated controls/menu, video shuts down after a few minutes
I am what is there to review, this is hands down one of the best cameras out there on the market. If it just had GPS tracking/geotagging, it would be perfect. But it has so many features perfect for the pro or first time photographer. Best bang for your buck by far!
Pros: quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Short battery life, Heavy/Bulky, no geotagging
One of my favorite cameras so far, the 7D has nearly all the features you could possibly imagine; 18 megapixels, 8fps shooting, ISO 12800, and 1080p video. It has a similar feel to the 5D Mark II, but it includes a pop-up flash and has faster continuous shooting in place of a full-frame sensor. The camera has held up in heavy rain, dust storms, and hard use. The controls are rather complicated and are not suitable to beginner photographers, but for the advanced amateur looking to step up from the Rebel cameras or the proffessional who needs a rugged, do-it-all camera for an affordable price, there is no better option than the 7D.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation
I was looking for a camera to give me options and to allow creativity to come into play. I much prefer to be creative in taking the picture, rather than in post-production! The 7D provides me with more options than I dreamed possible. Although this is not a camera for beginners, it has been fairly easy to read about and learn. When I purchased the camera, I had researched various cameras . . . the 7D was rated as the best camera on the market. I am so glad I purchased it. I love it!
