Just got back from Sanibel FLA and rapid fired a 7500 shot spree through Ding Darling 6 days in a row. Very impressed with the 7d as it gets really clear focus using hand held 80% of the time. Great camera in the rain as well. A moderate rain will not do anything to this tank. Buy the large battery pack and shoot all day long.
I just bought this camera for my wife. She loves it. She likes to edit and and photoshop.. the color, image are so clear and nice. thanks Canon for this camera..the price is high but it's good to own one..
I have had ESO 7D for about six months now and is one of the best cam I have ever used period. I shoot about everything you can think of and it has always given the best pic's ever. Yes it is a bit on the expensive side but it is worth evey penny...
I had a long and hard decision between the 7D and 60D. At the time the price difference was quite big and the everyday used features had to sway it. For me: the build quality, almost full-frame, weather seals, program functions, custom functions, fast burst rate, range of accessories and single digit model number sealed the deal. I also own a 30D and the 7D is a great step-up.
Pros: excellent build quality, weather seals, full hd video, very fast shutter, high iso
The best in town! I'm an advanced amateur, since 1980 I make foto with Reflex (Yashica, Contax and Canon). I love Canon 7D as, in the past, I liked Contax.
Had camera for almost 2 years now, focus is pretty completely luck. I thought it was handler error for a long time, finally sent it back for servicing, still front/back focuses. Doesn't matter the settings, lighting, or subject - will even struggle to focus with a still subject under bright lighting. If I had the money, I would definitely trash this thing and get another body - very disappointed.
The Canon 7D is a great camera. It shoots 18 mp stills at 8 fps and record full HD video at 48 mb/s. It has a full metal body, and supports a compact flash slot for faster image/video storing. One thing people dislike about this camera is that it's not full frame. My responce: It's not ment to be full frame. This camera is for sports photographers that need that 1.6x zoom.
Pros: great build, fast fps, compact flash, great video quality
