i had the same product for a year when one morning i came out to the kitchen and there was water all over the floor, the cooler was leaking from inside. i like the size of the unit so i looked around but returned to the same unit.

It was amazing when it worked but after the 3rd day the cooling function stopped working and only the hot function works now.

We thought that the product includes a bottle, but apparently not. We are sure that the product will work great as we purchased the same water cooler and it has been working wonderfully.

So far there the water coming out has a plastic taste.

So far there the water coming out has a plastic taste. I have flushed 3 times with plain water, citric acid mixture and baking soda mixture still has taste please advise.

Disclaimer: I've had the product installed for about 2 days. I purchased it to use as a top-loader for a 3rd party filter kit, which comes in the form of a 5 gallon jug/filter combination. It's a little weird, but the filter says it should work with most top-loaders. So, I followed the instructions, but noticed a leak at the bottom of the cooler. Thankfully, the cooler came with a magnet attached with details of a support phone number... which actually connected me to a human: Randy. Randy is rad, and spent >40 minutes on the phone with me debugging this issue, even while I pre-emptively screwed back on a part and delayed the process a bit. Mid-way through, while I was making sure that a seal was on properly, he sent a link for a screen-share app where he could point and troubleshoot in real-time - what a great touch by Avalon. He also consulted with Jill, his manager, and together they were able to find a solution for the problem. Again, the entire issue is caused by my use of this 3rd party filter/water jug that has nothing to do with Avalon. They totally could've just said, "man, that's tough, better get a regular water jug," and that would've been a fair answer. Instead, we found a tentative solution (to be confirmed after some time has passed). Excellent customer service, and I'd recommend Avalon for that alone, because it's rare to find this level of service. Also the cooler/heater works, but really I just wanted a place to put this gigantic filter on-top of, so just went for something that had great reviews on the retailer's site. Now, the brand Avalon is likely one I won't forget, due to this experience.
I would recommend this to a friend!
