Designed with the traveller in mind

When I retired, I was given a medium-sized check-in suitcase as a gift by my colleagues for they knew I love to travel. But the suitcase that I was given wasn't a Travelpro and after a few trips, the differences became obvious. Having already owned the Travelpro carry-on spinner, I was familiar with Travelpro's durability. And the suitcase that I was given as a gift just didn't hold up. I am notorious for being hard on my cases - but it's not just me. Airports, trains and taxis are tough on the bags, too. Yet durability isn't the only reason I love this Check-in suitcase. It's deep and spacious! I can fit so much more into this suitcase than I could in the other brand. And that's especially important when traveling to multiple places with varying weather conditions on my 4+ week trips. I also love the fact that the handle raises to 4 different positions - not just the usual 2 - which is helpful when placing a backpack or another bag over the handle. And the locking zipper is ingenious. The interior pockets are very useful as are the packing cubes and laundry bag. But I especially appreciate the opening in the front - the way it drops open is convenient so that I can grab a jacket or easily reach for a pair of gloves upon landing. Or if the destination climate is hot, throw my sweater into it. What more can I say about this VersaPack+ Medium Check-In Spinner other than it's the best!

Spacious Lightweight Suitcase

The VersaPack Medium Check-In Spinner is very lightweight small in stature, but large in capacity. I couldn’t believe how light it was.. it let me stuff until my heart was content without being worried about being over in baggage weight. It’s very deep and allows me to pack more than 2 weeks worth of clothes. The packing cubes that it came with are great and let’s me to pack even more! I absolutely love the laundry bag, it saves me from having to search the hotel for laundry bags every time I travel. I only wish that there was a packing cube specifically for shoes included as well. The double wheels on each spinner help the suitcase glide with ease even over carpeted terminals. There’s a pocket in the front for you to store things that may leak to protect your clothes and it covers almost the entire length of the suitcase along with the pocket that lines the back that gives me even more storage space. I haven’t tried the lock feature yet. I’ve just kept it set to the preset TSA code, but I love that I have the option to lock it, especially when leaving my suitcase with the valet. Travelpro does it again you can’t go wrong with this suitcase

Great quality suitcase

I have always purchased the Travelpro hard side luggage in the past, and have been very pleased with the functionality and the quality. However, sometimes it can be tricky finding the space to fully open the clamshell style luggage in a small hotel room. Enter the VersaPak medium check in spinner soft shell. It has the classic old-school styling which allows you to place it a luggage stand easily and access it’s contents easily. I appreciate the included packing cubes for organization, as well as the two zippered side compartments in the base. It’s lightweight and the fabric feels substantial and durable. The four wheels feel less sturdy than I what I would have preferred, but on a recent trip to England, which included both air and train travel, the case rolled and manuevered with ease. Love the expandability and the soft-sided nature as I always seem to return home with more than I left with. If you’re looking for soft-sided luggage, I definitely recommend this case and Travelpro for great quality and durability.

Great bag with many features

Received this bag with time to take it on a cruise before submitting a review. Really like the versatility of this luggage. The size was great to pack for a 7 day cruise. Shoe bag and collapsible zipper bins make it easy to keep things organized. Interior storage pouches along each long side, one fabric and one plastic lined. Quality seems excellent, expect it will hold up to many trips. This bags stays balanced and the wheels roll and swivel very smoothly. It handled the many transitions, ramps and different surfaces very well when leaving the ship. Holds its integrity much better than other bags I have when fully loaded. I really like the way the locks are integrated in to the zipper pulls.
