My location is in an area that has businesses that sometimes pull a lot of electricity, resulting in brown-outs. When we initially started using UPS backups for our 10 computers, we bought a mix of brands, In general APC has outlasted all of them in terms of battery life and whole unit function, and when the batteries inside finally reached the end of their lifespan, only APC had an accessable battery replacement & recycling program. The others were not user serviceable at all. The competition is all gone now, they were replaced with APC products using your recycling program, also we have only had to replace batteries for about 4 APC units in the seven years since we've been using UPS backups for our computers & electronics.
