I upgraded my old 64 oz container to get away from BPA and this new one is a significant improvement. Food comes out easier, the handle is nice, the lid is easier to use although still not perfect...it sticks a little.
I would recommend this to a friend!

When I called to order a new machine, the girl helping me was able by asking me a few questions and trouble shooting my containers etc, suggest I may just need a new container. I ordered that and am totally happy. It is working great and runs quieter as well.

OK, I'm delinquent. I finally got around to purchasing a replacement container almost 8 years after my initial vitamix purchase. We are all super happy with it. Our vitamix gets heavy duty usage from our family of 6 multiple times a day. I have never regretted it.

I bought my new 64 oz container back in November....
The only thing I was unhappy with was the length of time from the time I placed my order to the time it finally arrived... I bought the new container because I dropped my original one and cracked it... Sealed the crack w/ J B weld and got about an additional year of blending.....
