I bought this when I saw a demo at a store and since then I have been using it almost everyday. It is so powerful that when I make my strawberry mint lemonade - I don't have to strain the seeds of the strawberry as it pulverizes it. The mint leaves comes out so well too!

We bought this replacement out of necessity when our original container broke (our fault). Pricey for a replacement but it's a major part of the unit so OK. Shipping was hassle-free but the container is not exactly like our original. I suppose they've updated it. Wish this were purchasable without tamper and cover.

It came with my blender and it works well. I'm here to address the issues with greens leaving residue behind in the plastic container. Vitamix has a FAQ, and in that FAQ they say that glass containers do not yield the benefits necessary to produce one, and the number one issue is most likely safety. I would not want a glass container to fail on me while I'm blending at the highest speed. The blade and glass could hurl around the room. At the worst, plastic would just crack a little bit.
Also, to get rid of the residue left behind by greens (which is mineral buildup), the FAQ says to put 1 cup of vinegar into the container and fill up to halfway with warm water. Let it sit for several hours and give it a nice scrub. This mostly worked for me. I just didn't scrub it enough so I left some of the residue on the container, so make sure you do a good job of scrubbing.
