I've had a vita mixer for over 10 years. The base is still going strong but the container started to leak. Like most other things I was sure I would not be able to get a replacement container, but Vita Mix is so awesome they have kept the overall size and dimensions the same. It was a little pricey to get a replacement container but kept reminding myself it's well worth it since it will last many years and if the motor dies I'm sure I'll be buying a new vita mixer anyway. Thanks for such a great reliable product people can actually count on. That's a rare thing these days.
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Product features, Power
I inherited my mother's Vitamix when she died. She had purchased it more than 20 years ago and it wouldn't run anymore. Once I purchased the new Classic 64-ounce container (which came with a tamper) I discovered the machine runs like new! I am extremely pleased, as this machine is far superior to the cheap (useless) blender I had been trying to use!
Love my vitamix, but have a suggestion about the design of the carafe. The structural ribs located on the inside of the carafe make it harder to clean it. Would suggest the ribs be located on the exterior of the carafe so that the inside can be smooth for easier cleaning.
I bought this to replace the original container which was used daily in our deli from 2003-2009. In 2009 our deli closed and we brought the Vitamix home and it has been used until now, 2017. I had to put a couple drops of high quality oil on the bottom of the container where the blade unit is mounted due to some noise it started making. This new container is super quiet, compared to the old one, and the handle is really comfortable. It fits the base motor unit perfectly no I expect it will last for many years of home use. We will never be without a Vitamix.
