The replacement container is as represented. The cost is just outrageous, particularly considering the original investment in the Vitamix. I bought this for my daughter because her original pitcher and plastic plunger (which I bought for her) had deteriorated to the point of being unsafe. We had failed to qualify for a recall and replacement.
