Great blender, but container issues

I bought my Vitamix around 2006 and the blender still works great. However, I have had issues with the containers. Around 4 or 5 years ago, the container started leaking and I got it replaced. More recently, the replacement container cracked while in use. I am pretty careful with how I use the blender so it was suprising that it broke.

Hi there! While the containers are made of a sturdy BPA-free Tritan, they can become damaged under certain circumstances. If you have a dishwasher safe container, please be sure to do so in the top-rack only. We also recommend avoiding dropping the container, blending any kind of inedible item (including stone fruit pits), and breaking up any large chunks of frozen products that are larger than 2-3 inches in diameter, as these can crack the container if hit by the blades at the wrong angle.

I have owned my Vitamix since 2012 (13 years) we mainly bought it to make baby food for our oldest and we loved it since day one. Last year 2024 I noticed it was making a weird sound when blending and metal shavings were all over the base. My husband noticed that the bottom of the blade had 2 small crack. It was a bit pricey to buy a brand new blender cup but totally worth it!
My vitamix blender is working perfectly like new again. I won’t be buying any other brand.
They are quality and a lifetime product.
I never leave reviews but come on after owning it for 13 years and it’s still going strong and now like new, I had to do it.

I’ve got an older machine so I was worried if this would actually fit. It’s perfect! I’ve been using this Vitamix for 13 years. Daily, green smoothies and it has never failed. My pitcher took a tumble off the counter while drying and cracked. Frankly, I’m surprised that even happened but my fault completely. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING compares to a Vitamix blender!!

The container worked great for the first 2 weeks or so. We use our Vitamix a lot, so it got a lot of use in the first couple of weeks. We have had our Vitamix well over 10 years, and the original container started creating a black substance underneath the container, the container started making a high pitched sound, then we started noticing metal shards coming from under the container. We decided to replace the entire container because of how often it is used. Now this new container is starting to make a high pitched noise as well. We haven't noticed any other issues, but I will be contacting Vitamix regarding the issue.
