We’ve bee Vitamix owners for over 10 years! We purchased 3 as gifts for family. We prefer the classic container to the shorter container as we’ve had trouble sometimes getting all of our veggies in our smoothies to chop up with the shorter container. The classic container always works for us, no matter how much or what ingredients we are using! We use our Vitamix daily and purchased the new container after years of stain marks building up on our old container.

Durable, sturdy, and perfect for a family! Ours lasted 7 years before we had to get a new one and the only reason we had to do that is because I broke it.

After 8+ years my blender (base) is going strong. I had to replace the 64oz container a few weeks ago because there was a crack in it after lots of use in our family: mainly smoothies with crushing ice.

the replacement container works as the original. It's definitely worth getting instead of a whole new machine since nothing was wrong with my motor/base. However it was very difficult to determine which container to get because my unit is old and there are so many newer options. After I called the corporate office, they explained which container that I needed to get for my unit. Thanks Vitamix!
