the replacement container works as the original. It's definitely worth getting instead of a whole new machine since nothing was wrong with my motor/base. However it was very difficult to determine which container to get because my unit is old and there are so many newer options. After I called the corporate office, they explained which container that I needed to get for my unit. Thanks Vitamix!

I bought my new Vitamix container because our blade had gotten dull. Unfortunately the new one is not much better.

A replacement for the original classic container I am disappointed that Vitamix does not have a glass container which wash better in the dishwasher and do not cloud. The top is also not as good as the original, which was made from a softer rubber and was easier to put on and take off.

The lid that came with your container might be a little stiff because it is brand new. After some regular use it should be easier to put over the top of the container and remove when you are done blending.
