Not worth the money

I bought my Vitamix about a year ago and just recently started using it more. However, for the price you pay for the blender, one would think that the quality of it would be up to par. Unfortunately, the container seems to get stuck and doesn’t blend well unless I keep stirring the ingredients myself throughout. So far, I have only made smoothies and even that seems to be a struggle.

Vitamix is designed to be run on the highest speed your unit has for the majority of the recipes you are blending. Therefore, make sure you are processing on the highest speed to get the best performance from your product. Additionally, thicker blends will require the assistance of the tamper. The tamper directs food downward into the blades in order to prevent air pockets from forming, which occurs most commonly with thicker blends. We recommend giving these tips a try the next time you are making a thicker recipe to see if the performance improves!

Awesome. I have had this blender for about 6 years now and the only reason I had to order a replacement container is because I dropped mine. Otherwise I'm sure it would of lasted a few more years.

I’ve had my Vitamix blender for over 10 years. I recently had to buy a new blender container due to my other one starting to leak. I think that it was accidentally immersed in water when my son washed it a while back. Anyway, I needed a new one. I do like the new handle design on this one.
