carafe exploded!

i have my Vitamix for 4-5 years and have been happy with it. today, i was making vegetable and fruit smoothie when the carafe exploded. a 1 1/2 inch section of the wall of the carafe spontaneously exploded, and the blades expelled the semi blended smoothie onto everywhere in the kitchen. i had to use one hand to clean the spill and the other hand to keep my two dogs away, as they were licking the floor, and shards of the broken carafe was all over the place. i think such an expensive piece of equipment should not have such a defect.

This container is great. I replaced one that was ~8 years old which I used a lot, but honestly it is tough to spend so much to replace the container. I have other appliances like my food processor that is 20+ years old and the plastic container is still going strong.

I purchased new container with lid for my Vitamix which is now about 3 - 4 years old. I use the Vitamix everyday for my morning smoothie. The container gets stained from the hard water in my area. The new container is a fresh start for my Vitamix base. All work great.

I am very happy with my Vitamix classic 64 ounce blender container. It has high quality construction that seems like it will last for a very long time. The handle is very sturdy. The plastic material that it is made of is very thick and solid and very durable. The thick plastic lid fits tightly and securely and stays in place perfectly. It came with a large tamper that works perfectly with this container. It has high quality sharp stainless steel blades. It's shape is tall and narrow with perfectly engineered curves that allow for food to blend fully and completely. The inside walls of the container are slippery which keeps food from sticking to them and allows for easy cleaning of the container after using it. I use this container on my Professional Series 750 Vitamix.

Great new shiny container for my older vitamix, I purchased it because the old one cracked, I have been considering buying a newer model but I chose to just get the container for now until this one dies. No frills or anything fancy but is a perfect container and works as expected. Also, I didn’t realize the container came with a tamper so I purchased an additional one.
