This is my second container for my Vitamix 5200 base. After 3 years and 7 months the gear wheels on the container have gone bad. While this may sound cheesy, it's really not. I use this container EVERY SINGLE DAY. I don't know of any other kitchen appliance that stands the test of daily use for over 3 years. I have a slew of kitchen appliances and I rely heavily on them. My Vitamix is #1 in my kitchen. I also love that it is a large container. I have a family of 5 for whom I make smoothies every day and the large container holds enough for all of us. I highly recommend this container.

This classic 64 oz container is my family's favorite out of all others in the Vitamix line. Because of it's tapered shape and the shorter distance between the blades and walls of the container at the base, it gives a much smoother blend. We've used our Vitamix 2-3 times daily for fourteen years; made everything including soups, smoothies, ice cream, even homemade almond milk and it continues to be the work horse of our kitchen.
