Just had to have another container that is tall. I don't like the newer squattier VitaMix machines and I own them too. The original 5200 is the BEST and so too the container for all my liquid needs. This purchase was a replacement product...not that my other one failed in any way...I just wanted to purchase another in case for some reason VitaMix no longer would make their long time standard.

Expensive to replace the 64 oz.container but it had to be done. I've owned the same Vita-Mix for over 20 years. The original containers cracked and started leaking.
The lid is redesigned to be easier to get off, an improvement. I'm glad that I could replace the container at all. I'm sure it will last many years like the old ones. Thanks Vita-Mix
