I'm glad to have the new container. While it seems thinner than the original, it isn't cloudy after washing. I've deducted 1 star for pricing. This is just too expensive.

I have had my Vitamix for 8 years now and it is still going strong! I purchased this larger canister to have for big batches of soup and in order to have room to make smoothies for all 3 of my kids at once. It is fabulous!

I have an older Vitamix and the lid on it was extremely hard to get off. As it aged, the rubber got stiffer. The new design is a huge improvement! Too bad you have to replace the whole container to get a new lid; but still worth it.
