I damaged my first container with a careless mice, so I was delighted to get a new container, taking advantage of the Black Friday sale. I missed using my Vitamix because of its versatility: smoothies, desserts, soups, dressings.
It is definitely one of my favorite appliances.

This unfortunately cracked after just 2 months. And not due to any dropping or miss-handling. We were just mixing stuff in it one day and it suddenly cracked.

Jar broke on me, plastic not strong or durable

My jar broke - grinding an herb. Sharp plastic triangle came at me, thank goodness no harm. Replacement is very expensive, others have commented same re: durability, breakage and replacement cost.

Plastic container

I bought my Vitamix 5200 a month ago. I’m happy with it but haven’t tried all the different things you can make like soup, etc etc
I use it mostly for my morning juices and smoothies.
Unfortunately the plastic container got stains from the turmeric I used for my smoothie I am pretty upset because I have been using it and rinsing it right away as recommended with warm water and few drops of soap and let it run for 1 min.
It didn’t get clean and now I have orange stains on a nice new container. I think a glass container will be more appropriate so we can wash the food away without staining and also the need to replace it after it gets foggy and stained. I might call the customer service and see what they can do about it. It is still under warranty after all.

Exactly what I needed. I hope Vitamix doesn’t discontinue these types of containers because they are much easier for me to pour than the containers with the more squarish spouts.
