Good jar but could be improved

The 64oz jar is great for big batches/juices and the clear plastic allows you to see exactly what is happening. The new pour spout is excellent and really does help to direct the liquids and avoid spills. The handle is comfortable and the overall weight is quite light.
I've had my container now for around 18 months and use it 3 to 5 times a week for juices/smoothies but also for the occasional ice dessert.
After 12 months have noticed bit of clouding. I've been told that this can be removed with a vinegar wash which is not a big deal and only cosmetic. More concerning are little dents/abrasions in the plastic near the blades. Presumably from ice cubes being smashed around (I have never blended abrasive ingredients like grains). I do wonder how well this will hold up in the next couple of years.
The seal on the new style lid is good. It provides a reassuring snap however, a big flaw I found is the rubber seal itself allows food particles to get between it and the lid. This requires you to remove the rubber seal and scrub out the accumulated gunk. The older style solid lids would be much easier to clean and more hygienic (at the expense of not being see through). This is a design that Vitamix should look at improving in the future.
Overall, I think this is a very good container with solid build quality.
