Nice size, but I don't like the flour it makes

It's a good size. It's great for chopping smaller batches of stuff.
I'm not too happy with the flour tho... its gritty, even if I freeze the grains first and sift. The bread comes out like a brick. I bought to make flour, and I get the same results from the wet container.
I do like the smaller size tho. I took away a star because it didn't work for the reason I bought it.

Great for homemade flours

I bought this jar to geind some soft grains, however i was amazed to find out that it can grind hard grains too. Great result every time i grind any dry ingredient. Very happy with my purchase

The 48 oz dry blades container (self detect model) pairs with my vitamix 3500 to make wonderful, fresh flour for my baking. Also I am in control of the consistency. I also use it to grind legumes for soup. Note: Split pea powder can only be added to steaming liquid or it tastes bitter. Great for instant split pea soup.
