This review is late in coming as I have owned this container for more than a year now, but I have been visiting Vitamix a lot lately due to recent health scares that is forcing me to look in the mirror more over my eating habits. I have allowed the stresses of life that we are all experiencing since the pandemic get to me. Actually life after the this has been more stressful than during it. Because of health concerns regarding my daughter enveloped my whole being I did not realize how that stress was making me sicker until I was sent to the emergency room for blood pressure over 250 and diagnosed with dreaded diabetes. I have awakened a resolve to take care of me so that I can be here to take care of my daughter. This container has and all of Vitamix items are helping me to be more self and health conscious. These products are the best hands down. I feel professional to be able to learn how to make my own flours and butters and this is not just for juicing. Thank you Vitamix!!

I use this blender cup much more than initially anticipated. I always blend flax seed and chia in it and keep them in the fridge. Especially after purchasing a bag flax meal that turned out to be rancid in one of the "reputable health food store". Now I can be sure that the healthy superfood ingredients are truly healthy.

worthy addition to the Ascent bundle

I got this container as part of the Ascent bundle and have used it mostly to make flour (rye and barley) and breadcrumbs. I can't compare it to a grain mill but it did what looks like a good job to me - the flour came out fine and even. I don't know that I would have splurged on purchasing this if it *didn't* come with the bundle, but glad to have it. Have also used it for smoothie blending when I wanted a smaller container or the 64oz was in the dishwasher.

We bought this dry containers for dry goods and so far it's been working fantastic! Blends things down to a powder really well, we're happy to have this one specifically for dry things, especially how dry goods sometimes can make scratches on the container so we have one container just for that.

Go With the Grains Container!

This grains container was included in my Vitamix set. Before I just used the regular container to make my flours. I have really liked having the specialty unit for doing flour. The blade is specifically designed for the job. It’s powerful and reduces the grain to flour very easily for all of my plant-based recipes. I like that I can grind flour fresh a little at a time as needed. Highly recommend!
