I received this blender as a gift and was SHOCKED to find out how expensive it was. I find that it is pretty limited in what it will blend; the minimum volume for the blender to be effective is quite large, and whatever you are blending needs a high liquid-to-solid ratio. And then there are things that the blade just don't seem to be sharp enough to touch, like cinnamon sticks when trying to make horchata (I gave up). I have emptied countless recipes out of this blender and into my food processor to get the job done. All told, this is a dependable blender for basic smoothies and soups.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this one first and loved it. Gave it to my daughter as a house warming and bought another one for myself! Loved the cleaning cycle, thought I wanted the presets on the designer, but have to say, does not actually add much. Buy this one, its a "Classic"!

When my Nutribullet died it stopped spinning. I was heartbroken but was watching The Pioneer Woman on The Food Network and she was blending drinks and all I could read from the show was BLENDTEC? So, I did my research on your blenders after that. I knew what would be my next replacement blender would be? I bought this on 10-23-20 and it came on 10-27-20. This does everything that the Nutribullet does but a larger jar is the difference. I can still make my smoothies and use the self-cleaning button which is a great tool to have on your blender. I have made hot soup in my Classic 575, which I love. I like how it is counting each time I use it. When I crave sweets I can look at her and whip up a smoothie just that fast. I really wanted the Orchid Purple but I took whichever showed up first at the house and it was the Black one. I returned the Orchid Blendtec at no charge. This is my healthy option.

I love my Blendtec Blender. It does great with smoothies, soups, and other higher volume recipes. My only issue is when it comes to making lower volume sauces or toppings - if there is less than a cup of liquid, I can't get it to come out smooth because everything goes right under the blades. This is my only frustration with it. I use it a lot for everything else!

We needed an excellent blender for my daughter’s jaw surgery. She was on a full liquid diet for 2 weeks! This blender was perfect, blending up all the soups and smoothies to a perfectly smooth liquid. So glad we made the investment with our Blendtec!
