It's reliable and works great. Used it to run a construction site for a couple months of hard constant use. I changed the oil every couple weeks and it held up like a champ, still looks brand new. Only problem is tends to flood the air filter on economy mode.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to start and runs fine. Produces correct voltage/frequency. Only negative comment is the vibration. Don't see this generator lasting long with this amount of vibration. I assume it's the rotor causing the vibration. Powersmart needs to address this problem. Would not have purchased this generator had I known it vibrated this bad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This has been an amazing surprise gem. I didn't expect much, thought it would do the job temporarily on a job site and then I'd trash it and buy a better one. To my great surprise it's proven to be super reliable, even after leaving it on the ground outside partially covered by a tarp at my saw mill for 6 months, withstanding torrential downpours and snow so deep that it was feet under it. We had another storm coming in so I went to the property and picked it up, it was covered in mud, air filter housing full of water, and exhaust full of water. I sprayed it off with a water house, dried everything out, and even with gas sitting in the tank for 6-7 months it started up on the 4th pull and after about 5 secs it was running like new. I'm beyond impressed.
I thought about giving it 4 stars because it doesn't have electric start and doesn't come with the enclosure sides which means it's pretty loud when running at full capacity but I knew those things before I bought it and the reliability impressed me so much that I added back the 5th star. For the price I can't think of a better option on the market.
One thing to know if buying this though, it MUST be on level ground. The oil sensor is aggressive and will kill it with just sitting on a hill. I had it in the back of my truck and one sides feet were between the ribs of the floor while one side was on them and it wouldn't run, I thought I had wasted my money, but just leveling it out that extra 1/2 inch was the difference it needed to operate. My property is on a mountain and it did the same thing when I had it on the ground at a spot I felt was decently level but I ended up having to adjust one side by a few degrees to make it run. Kind of annoying to be so aggressive but I guess I'll never have an issue with wear due to oil starvation 🤷
