I purchased this phone for my 75 y/o father. He refuses to use a smart phone and prefers these simpler flip phones.
I will say that he’s had 3 older versions of this phone. We’re really loyal to Kyocera simply because it is the most durable, heavy, easiest to use best quality flip phone on the market.

Much better phone for a 92 year old with no tech savvy. Tried Cingular Flip first, but she couldn't hear good on it. It was also much more confusing for her to learn. Minimal configuration options.

Great New Version Bigger Battery Clearer Screen

This is a really good phone. This new version, allows you to block phone numbers unlike the previous model. It is a little heavier and 1/6 inches longer and thicker (bigger battery). The screen res is great and it lets you assign numbers and quick access buttons as shortcuts. I do wish they had keep the quick delete on call log. It takes a couple more steps now, but what a nice phone.
The new ECO POWER SYSTEM is an "about time" feature. After you charge your phone to 100%, set to ECO AUTO mode. This let you know (you set it to a %, like 15% left), you plug it in and it automatically stops charging @ 85%. This extends battery lifetime use.

A printed manual should be included, as many people do not have access to the internet. It takes a lot longer to figure the phone out without adequate instructions.
