Waykar dehumidifier

I have two Waykar dehumidifiers, an 80 pint/day and a 150 pints/day, My first comment on these machines is that they are the quietest dehumidifiers I have every owned. I have owned GE, Kenmore, Frigidaire and others for reference. The noise level is an indicator of the quality of design and manufacturing. Less noise means less vibration and more energy efficiency. They are very quiet machines. Hopefully, this adds to a long and trouble-free life.
These dehumidifiers have a retentive memory feature which is a plus. In the event of a blip in your electric supply the machines will restart at the same setting it had before the blip. That saves from having to remember to reset it.
Finally, I cannot attest to the capacity of the machines other than to say they knocked the humidity down in my basement overnight and have kept it there. My previous machine ran continuously trying to get it down but never quite made it.
So, I am happy.

Just getting started but good so far!!!!

This is the third small dehumidifier we purchased for our basement. We are excited about the 2 year warranty because our last two barely made it a year. The unit took humidity from 58% down to 35% in three days. We got a torrential rain over a two day period and the unit kept the humidity at 35%.

Have continusly used this dehumidifier for about a month in a semi finished damp basement (500 sq feet). It keeps the humidity around 45-55 percent.

Compact and quiet, not sure about 80 pints

I purchased this model to replace a 50 pint Frigidaire that stopped working. So far it seems to be noticeable slower at removing humidity as compared to the 50 pint Frigidaire. The Frigidaire was significantly larger and a bit louder but seemed stronger than the higher pint Waykar.

Compact & Quiet

This unit is so small compared to my old 50 pint. I attached a drain hose, plugged it in and found the controls easy understand. The basement had been without a dehimidifier for some time and was at 74% humidity. I left the dehumidifier on low fan speed set at 50%. I basically "set it and forget it" so it ran a good while before reaching 50%. Now the dehumidifier is normally cycling. I don't even hear it when it's running if I'm in the next room. This is quite heavy for the size and fells solidly built. I like that this is backed by a 2 year warranty too. Definitely a true value
