Awesome saw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this saw for about a year now love it awesome saw nice and light weight and very durable ido a lot of framing build a lot of decks and I use this saw over a corded saw I use the 8 amp batterys and they work great with it awesome run time just got done framing a 24x40 deck and only went through 2 8 amp batterys if your looking for a great saw at a very good price this is the saw for you

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the 6 1/2” cordless circular saw for demonstration purposes in my classroom, it arrived during spring break and since we haven’t been back in the classroom/shop because of the coronavirus pandemic it was in my truck. This past weekend I was helping remodel my parents bathroom and I stead of dragging around extension cords I remembered I had the cordless saw. It was a lifesaver! I used it all weekend, cutting 12mm pergo, 3/4” plywood, 2X4” studs, and various trim pieces. I charged the battery once and it lasted all weekend. I dread having to give up the saw, as well as the other cordless dewalt tools I purchased for my classroom when we return in the fall. Absolutely awesome products. I was leery of a cordless circular saw, but I’m sold now!!

My everyday saw

I use this every day for cutting on new builds and renovations. I'm a lefty, and love the blade position. This saw is light and the safety is easy to use. The cutting line is easy to use for freehand cutting, but the motor body does hang over a bit if I'm cutting on the speed square. But its easy to turn the speed square around :) The rubber grip has a great feel and works well in the wet too. The blade guard does have a smooth action and hangs up on materials infrequently. The depth adjustment and angle adjustment is easy to use and quick. The only thing I'd like changed is a more prominent cutting line on the shoe.

Love not being attatched to a chord

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a brand new DeWalt set and this saw came included. Being a handyman by trade, all of my experience was with corded circular tools. And this 20V baby does the job well. I have framed 2x4 and2x6 walls and replaced some subflooring with the unit and it has performed great! Give it its time and cut with proper techniques and u will habe no problems! I would definitely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this saw about two months ago and although I usually use the XR editions I bought this because it is cheaper and I didn’t really need anything spectacular for the job I’m on. I didn’t know how long it would last me but I have been surprised by how much power it has and the dependability I get from it. I own many Dewalt tools and I am sold on their reliability, they make awesome products that are three quarters the price of their next closest competitor but ten fold better.

Great Saw for most cuts.

I bought this to replace the old Dewalt Trim Saw 18v. I got the trim saw back in 2005 and it has never let me down. I upgraded to the one as 18v just doesn’t do the job well enough. It cuts very well, is light and simple to use. However when it came to rip cuts, the saw was lacking. First it eats batteries fast! A 2A made just over 1 rip of a 8ft 2x8x8. I uses a 4A battery and it made two cuts then the saw cut out as it was overheating. I believe the workload was just too much for a cordless saw. It is not a Dewalt issue, rather a technology issue. However I did by the Dewalt 7 1/4 worm drive corded, just in case I need to rip more boards. Well at least that was my justification.

I have not had one problem with any of my tools. I initially bought the set to remodel my house and now I am a licensed General Contractor. Awesome tools and not just for contractors but for everyone. Thank you dewalt for awesome products.
