Great watch

I purchased the Garmin Bounce 3 about a month ago as a gift for my daughter. She previously had the original Bounce, but it was already getting old. I have been genuinely impressed by the new features and improvements. It is an excellent tool that allows me to stay in touch with my daughter without her needing a smartphone. Since she is only nine years old, I do not believe she is ready for a cellphone yet, and the Garmin Bounce provides exactly the communication and peace of mind our family needs.

Almost perfect

This watch is exactly what I wanted to be able to contact my son when he's out in the neighborhood with his friends as we are not getting him a phone until he has a driver's license. The reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because of the battery life. I'm shocked at how fast it runs out of battery given that my Garmin watch sometimes lasts two weeks before I have to charge it. I'm having to charge his watch every day and it's frustrating because I want him to sleep it in because the alarms help him wake up, but then it's hard to have time to charge it and also be able to wear it during the day.

Solid Kid's smartwatch with one big miss

I bought this for my daughter a month ago and have been fairly pleased. As a Garmin family, i like the focus on a fitness watch with some GPS tracking and basic communications. It fits the right spot for what we were looking for. We can track and get alerts on when she leaves the house or school, and she can communicate with us when needed. It's not super distracting otherwise. Battery life and Location tracking is fairly good for such a connected smartwatch, and the calling is also surprisingly good. Garmin Jr app is solid but limited. Location features are really good, especially the boundaries. Communication is enough but pretty basic. The custom kids watch face options aren't very compelling for a kid -- way too limited (and doesn't really deploy the same way as the designer makes it) Quite frankly I don't even know why they bother with that feature in its current state. The big miss on the Bounce 2 are the irreplaceable watch bands, I can't believe they aren't replaceable -- its way too expensive to not have a replaceable band and its for a kid who will likely destroy it. I really worry how long it will last and that's the main reason I'm concerned about this in the long term and why I'd be hesitant to recommend it to others.

The device was stylish and loved the features but GPS was always way off. Calls and texts also rarely ever sent and if they did they were delayed anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. Even in the same house with the same wifi.
Overall I do not recommend and returned the device.

Great watch for kids to have more independence

This watch is perfect for my 10 year old. He doesn’t mention the pressure of needing a phone anymore. He can call me and message back. Sometimes it’s hard for me to hear him but it works best when he talks closest to the watch - naturally! I like the alert it gives me when he leaves the house to start his bike ride and when he comes home. It alerts me before he does. He likes tracking his steps and exercise.

Works in Mexico like a charm!

We bought this model a few weeks ago and we love it. Works great! Our only complaint is that we would love a longer battery life (lasts about 2-3 days).

Switched from Apple Watch to Bounce2

I moved away from Apple Watch and got the Bounce 2 for my daughter. One the best decisions I made. This watch FOR THIS PURPOSE (kids) is the way to go, more parents should get this for peace of mind and performance for the kids.
