At the high end of the variable-rate output, this electric blower has much air velocity and nearly as much output volume as handheld gas blowers that I have owned. However, it does not produce the smelly gas exhaust that can set off a garage smoke alarm. I was amazed at the blowers power. This is a quality product.
A bit more cumbersome than my previous blower, but, it is more powerful and does more.
Only issue thus far deals with design of cord lock feature: it is a touch small even for the suggested minimum 14 gauge extension cord. My cord suffered exterior abraision (a shave, if you will) during installation and removal.
Pros: powerfull
Cons: removal button for inlet cover is not easy to work
I love the blower and didn't even realize when I purchased it that it had a vacuum option also-which is a great feature! The only problem I had was trying to assemble it. Finally my neighbor did it for me so all is good.
Surprised this product broke down so soon. Replacement was easy.

This purchase was a replacement for another Toro Blower that broke down after less than a year's use. Since it was still under warranty, the replacement cost me nothing. Hopefully I'll get more use out of the replacement. No quibble on replacing this unit under the warranty terms.
To date I have only used the blower function. Love the variable speed control. Makes cleaning leaves and grass out of the garage easy without blowing other items out. Works great at cleaning the side walk after edging. Simple and easy to convert to vacuum.
As a first time user , I tried a gas blower vac and found it to be difficult to start, heavy and hard to manage the leaves, but the Toro Ultra electric blower vac made blowing the leaves a pleasure, it's easy to start, lightweight and very easy to manage the volume of leaves that we have to deal with. For any woman considering the purchase, I highly recommend it.
Owned an earlier version of this model for 5 years. Would like to give this new product 5-stars but I can't. The adjuster/power switch was an ever-present problem on the older model (think on/off) and the switch on the new model doesn't inspire confidence that there won't be trouble with it down the road. However, if the adjuster/power switch lasts twice the length of the warranty period before acting up, I'll consider the new Toro Ultra Blower Vac the best machine of it's kind at any price. Until then I think it's 4-star. A powerful electric blower that does a great job for what it's designed to do but may have a tempermental adjuster/power switch.
