It is a bit heavy, but it does a good job of both blowing and sucking leaves. The collection bag has its zipper on the bottom and requires being turned upside down and shakened before trying to unzip it.
It is too soon to know how it will hold up. My previous unit lasted quite well, and that is why it was replaced when the control part went bad with another one. I like the Toro unit.
I would have been happier if the control part could have been replaced instead of having to replace the whole unit. But the price was not bad.
Pros: grinds and blows
Cons: bag is sometimes awkward but still quite usable.

I was looking for a vacuum and my daughter found this unit. After researching this product my daughter purchased this as a xmas gift for me. Used it twice and am very satisfied. I have had Toro blower/vac before for many years. This new unit is much quieter than the old unit and has a metal fan blade. Ease of use as a vacuum is a little awkward. Overall I would recommend this product, a great value for the price.
Pros: powerful, quiet
Cons: awkard use as a vac

It can move wet leaves or dry and we have used it four straight hours at a time with no problems. I like it!

This model is much of a disappointment versus my older cheaper Toro model it replaced. One of the main uses for me is for mulching up leaves and for this, it does a very poor job since it plugs very easily. My older model had a plastic impeller with fins of different lengths with some having serrated teeth. This one has a metal blade but the fins are all the same length and perfectly smooth. I believe this is the main reason it plugs so easily. This is particular bad for the sections of my lawn where there is treea that drops those seeds that are little spikey balls. My older version would digest those fine. This one plugs ever 15 seconds since all it needs is a 5-6 of those to completely plug it up since for this model, they won't go through. Since these are so intermixed with the leaves, it's impossible not to pick these up. This one is going to Goodwill and I'm going to buy another blower/mulcher of another brand.
Pros: blowing
Cons: mulching

We're sorry to hear you had issues with the blower/vac. The vacuum is designed to handle dry leaves and soft objects and does a great job mulching them up before it reaches the bag. Per the manual though, "Vacuum only leaves and soft items. Hard items such as sticks, rocks, acorns, and pine cones will damage the impeller." To find a copy of the manual you can go to (www.Toro.com/Manuals). Thank you.

...it works great except it is heavy for me as a woman and it hurt my shoulder the heavier the bag became. Also, emptying the back was hard on my back. I think there should be better and faster suction, but it got the job done.
I wish i had gotten the model with wheels so i could just push it versus trying to hold the equipment and feel the heavy weight of the bag as it fills.
It works well it's just a slow process, which may be reasonable considering I did not have to rake and pick it all up, but it is heavy for me.

I use this blower year around, cleaning leaves in the fall, light snows in the winter, cleaning the garage, etc., etc. I get my money's worth out of these blowers. They are the best on the market, BUT, they only last for about two years with heavy use. I've owned eight of them and it seems like clockwork that after two years of heavy use the motors stop working. I would like to see them put a better motor in these units as they work great, till they die.
Pros: ease of use
Cons: longivity
