I like the dial for the strength increasing the motor speed.
Pros: wife won't use it.
Cons: wife refuses to use it. says it is my toy.

While very powerful it is very heavy, but it does a great job of blowing the leaves. I especially lite the fact that it has a variable speed.
Pros: vvariable speed., could hardly ask for a more powerful blower.
Cons: heavy.

MY ULTRA UNIT IS MELTING THE PLUG END OF THE OUTSIDE RATED EXTENSION CORDS. I HAVE MELTED 2 SO FAR USING THIS 12 AMP UNIT. BURNING AND MELTING SMELL FROM PLUG END.!!!
Pros: good leaf blower
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I did some online research, notably in "Consumer Reports", and the Toro got good reviews, was well priced and seemed to fit my needs. I could not be more pleased! I really am impressed. It's so powerful that I can't use it at full blast. I do wish the assembly directions were easier to follow. An online video showed the proper sequence of steps and then it was extremely easy. Looking forward to trying the vacuum feature, but so far the blower is great! Highly recommended. I can't speak to long-term dependability as I have only had it for a month.

Cons: better assembly instructions

I have owned a few of these, and it seems the variable speed control fails, long before it should. If it were not for that, this would be a good unit, but the blower out lasts the switch that makes it work in the first place, every time. What good is it then??

Worked good as a vacuum.

I bought one of these machines in early fall of 2015 so I'm on my second season of using it to vacuum cottonwood, maple and elm leaves.
It works good although I had occasional issues with it unplugging.
I find it rather awkward and cumbersome to use.
One thing the users manual should include to wear besides pants, shoes, dust mask and safety glasses is hearing protection.
