Bad speed control.

The speed control never did have fine control, but skipped from one speed to the next. Now I cannot get full speed from the blower with the setting on high. It acts as if there is a bad potentiometer for an input to the solid state speed control. Very disappointing!
Pros: was powerfull when working correctly

Great product, I have bought and used 4 of these machines. I was glad to see the metal impeller added to the product, it makes it a lot easier to pick up larger items, in the yard.

Good, powerful machine. However, very awkward to use because electrical plug is located in front of the machine rather than in the rear. Constantly pushing the power cord out of the way while moving forward.

At the time of purchase of my Toro Ultra Blower Vac I was not very confident that I would be getting something with anywhere near the power of the backpack blower that I used at work. I was very pleasantly surprised. I found it to be very powerful. I also love the ability to be able to switch from a blower to a vacuum. It is perfect for my residential needs.
Pros: can switch from blower to vacuum.
Cons: still looking!!

I've found this product to excellent and effective for what's needed, leaf blowing, vacuuming and shredding. What I have found irritating is a common failure that seems to be consistent, the speed switch fails around 24 months. This has happened on two consecutive devices. That's disappointing and I hope the defect is eventually corrected. Another irritant is the zipper on the bags but that's understandable wear & tear. During the meantime I'm about to buy another!

Starts out good and only lasts a couple of years

I only used it for leaves in the Fall. I have had 2 in the past 5 years and they just stop working while I'm using them. I checked the cord and there is no issues. The place of purchase won't do anything. So I'm hoping this may help future purchasers of this product. It's a bummer that they don't last longer than 2 and half years.
