The Ultra Blower Vac did a pretty good job in cleaning up the leaves from my cottonwood tree in the center of my 3,000 square foot back yard. The next day I went to vacuum the leaves in bags and it was doing a good job until the impeller nut came off and was lost. Quite a surprise for the second day of use (less than 4 hours total) of a brand new machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blower vac performs well in either mode. I have two and a half complaints regarding this unit. First, the bag that comes with the unit is cheap and developed a hole after only about three uses. I tried as much as possible to use the shoulder strap to keep it from dragging on the ground, but ergonomically that is a challenge. I have in fact already ordered one replacement bag, and I suspect it will not be the last one I have to order. Second, the plastic tab that locks the attachments in place is cheap; mine shows significant wear after just a few changes. Finally, my half-complaint concerns overall ergonomics. This unit is large and heavy in part because of the high quality metal impeller. Unfortunately, that makes it hard to maneuver unless you are tall and strong. Overall, I am pleased with the unit because it vacuums better than I expected, mulching masses of leaves without any problem.
Pros: high performance, quality impeller
Cons: cheap bag, unwieldy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This leaf blower works great. It is twice as good as an older blower I had. It works just as well as my neighbors small gasoline powered blower without the hassle of gas and oil. I will definitely recommend this blower to anyone looking for a blower. The price is great.
Pros: multiple nozzles is a grear feature.
Cons: the cord holding slots are quite tight for a 12 ga

The blower part of this works really well. Powerful and can push large piles of leaves all around. As a mulcher, anything other than dry leaves and the unit clogs. Wet leaves are terrible and even little twigs will clog the unit. Also, after slightly more than 2 years, the unit has shorted out 2 of my electrical cords. When I called Toro today they had no advice other than buy a new one or take it to a service center. When I called the service center the guy laughed and said they get calls on these all time. I'm a couple months outside of the 2 year warranty.
Pros: leaf blower, ease of use
Cons: mulching, electrical short

We thank you for your response. To avoid shorting out any cords Toro recommends using an extension cord no longer than 150 feet with a gauge rating between 12 and 14. Toro offers multiple support videos. The following link will provide customers with tips to get the best performance out of blower/vacs and string trimmers- https://www.toro.com/en/customer-support/help-center-yardtools#tipsblowerandtrimmer.
