TORO DOES IT AGAIN!!! My two previous blower/vacs/mulchers were both Toros and I had to purchase this one because I wore both of the old ones out. They lasted a total of 12 years (6 years a piece). I was gifted another blower/vac/mulcher made by another brand by suprise and was highly dissapointed because it couldn't stand up to my two previous Toros. I dealt with it and used it to help with the mounds of leaves this fall and it was more of a hassle than a help, not to mention it took FOREVER to bag up leaves!!! Anyways, the power and performance of the Toro Ultra Blower Vac (51619) is EXCEPTIONAL!!! It is easy and dare I say, FUN to use!!! The quality is excellent! I ENJOY the cord lock system and the extension cord storage hook! The concentrrator and power inserts are FANTASTIC! I purchased the 2 year Full warranty, great deal!!!! I haven't got to use the vac/mulching part yet, but I know I won't be dissapointed. :)
My neighbors both have large maple trees which drop an incredible number of leaves each fall. The Ultra Blower Vac makes short work of cleaning up my yard.
I prefer the big gas-powered blowers. I am not a fan of dragging around an extension cord. But then again, I bought this for my wife, and she loves it. The weight is perfect for her and the power is more than enough for all she does. She even uses it to blow out our German Shepherd's undercoat when he sheds, which is continuously. As with every electric blower I have tried, the mulching leaf bagging aspect left much to be desired. But who buys a leaf blower to vacuum and mulch?
I only buy Toro Blower/Vacs and have for the past 12 years

The over all machine is excellent. Only complaint I have is that the bag for the vac use just doesn't last and I have had to replace the bag zippers on all of them. I live where there is snow and at the beginning of winter when we only get a dusting of snow I use the blower to clear off the sidewalk.
Despite my dissatisfaction with 2 prior Toro blower/vacs, I purchased a third, for the weight and general overall quality. The control on each of the prior ones was not satisfactory and I can only hope this one is an improvement.
Pros: weight
Cons: the clip to switch from blow to vac is very stiff

The 51619 blower/vac is an excellent product. I have bought many other products. The set up and the time I used it was great. The other product could not keep up. A neighbor showed me his older model and was pleased with it. I had raked my yard and it was getting dark. Rushed to the nearest Toro dealer, bought it. 5 minutes and sucking up a lot of leaves. Thank you TORO! It has great features. Switching to blower to vac was pretty easy. The power of the vac/blower is pretty powerful.
I could not rate dependability accurately because I have only had it for a few weeks and used it three times. Performance is good but compared to a gas model it isn't as strong. Very easy to use, easy to empty leaves (does not spill all over like some other makes), and is quite light and quiet as compared to a gas model. The leaves do mulch quite a bit, especially if the leaves are dry. We don't have a large lot but enough to fill 2 bags mulched. One point to make is the loop to hold the cord works well on a smaller cord but one would have difficulty using a 14 gauge extension cord if it were not very flexible. My cord set is 14 gauge and very flexible and had to work at getting it "looped."
