No working in Win-11 Asus VivoBook

It is not working in my Asus VivoBook, nor via USB C or via USB A.
It keeps trying to recognize the new monitor and it appears and disappears. It takes lots of CPU usage doing this and I cannot work at all.
It did NOT recognize drivers by itself. I had to download and install them.
For me, it is absolutely useless. Maybe the USB 2.0 port of my 16Ram i7-CPU Asus VivoBook is not enough for this adapter.
I am going to return it.

Easy dual display output!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using the StarTech.com USB to Dual HDMI Adapter USB-A Or C 1X4K 30HZ 1X1080P and the construction is a quality build with dual adaptor support. Also the felt feet help when placed on a desktop so teh device does not slip.

Small and easy to carry around

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this small guy to test; its size makes it practical for travelling, and I tried with different monitors vendors, and the response was very good. I also tested it with varying brands of laptops and desktops as well.
This model is your guy if you are looking for a practical and easy-to-carry dock that will fit in the palm of your hand.

Easy Peasy install and works terrific!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quick and easy to install if you follow the instructions as it did not appear to be plug and play. After installing the StarTech drivers for this device and a quick reboot everything worked flawlessly.
I don't have a 4K monitor to fully test that side of the adapter but both displays worked immediately.
I did notice some delay when gaming so me this is likely for business use.
I do like that it does not require an external power source and that is has an attached adapter in the event you wish to use it with a device that doesn't support USB-C.

Works really well, quite surprised!

Using this with some no-name USB-C KVM (with video passthrough), connected to it via a USB 3.0 port, so I can have the single display offered by the KVM with my second display running on this Startech adapter.
It just...works! With all the headaches out there with USB-C standards and video, I didn't know what to expect, but here we are, happy as a clam. Now I can use my gaming and work computers separately, while consistently leveraging my two displays simultaneously. A HUGE quality of life improvement!

Works Great

The HDMI port on my Lenovo laptop stopped working. I thought I was going to have to take the laptop to a shop for repair but purchased this adapter and it worked great. It worked with the generic windows drivers right out of the box but I later installed my LG monitor drivers manually to get additional functionally. All in all, great product and saved me sending on laptop off for repair. Also, Startech has the best customer support I have ever experienced. I had a lot of questions before buying the product and they went out of their way to help. If you have questions, try the online chat. Worked great for me.

Great idea, but did not work in reality

I have a 2020 Mac Airbook M1, and unfortunately that doesn't allow for dual monitors easily. I tried this guy as a solution. While I technically had 2 displays going, the mouse was so glitchy and unresponsive due to the high CPU use, I had to go back to the single monitor.
