The 17” laptop completely covers the cooling pad which in turn covers the speakers. There is very little information about the cooling feature but it works. I purchased the oversize battery which keeps my laptop about an inch away from the pad. This helps with the sound. Highly recommended for smaller laptops as this puts out a good sound

Good product, A bit heavy. Keeps my HP notebook cool when working on on my lap but a model with a fan would be a better choice for cooling purposes. Speakers are an improvement over those in the notebook but obviously lack the sound quality of good external speakers. Improves the angle of the keyboard.
I would recommend this to a friend!
