Handy wrench

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great small adjustable wrench for tight spaces. Quality etched measurements for guide are nice. I use for tightening bolts on bearings and shaft seals. I’ll be picking up a larger wrench for use at work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this 6 inch crescent wrench to be able to work on my children’s bikes. It the perfect size for tightening the hand bars and the seats. With it being a smaller wrench, I can more easily tighten or loosen the nuts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When your Dad asked you to grab the "cresent wrench" this is what he meant.
Theres a reason that all other adjustable wrenches are refered to as a Cresent wrench.
Cresent set the standard. This is a high quality tool that is easy to use, durable and affordable! Excellent! 10/10 would recomend!

Exactly what you would expect for a smaller wrench

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is about what you would expect from a standard adjustable wrench. The jaw movement is smooth and the etched numbers were accurate during my usage. I liked the smaller size of this one but, like one would expect, a longer one was needed for really tight nuts. This is a tool that everyone needs at least one of in their toolbox.

The Ubiquitous Crescent Wrench

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like duct tape, an adjustable wrench is not often the perfect solution but almost always an adequate solution.
To be sure, the best practice in wrenching is to use a correct open, box, or socket but sometimes you don’t have it, you need a second of the same size, you’re not exactly sure what you need, or you can’t lug around a bunch of tools. Pragmatically, if you were stranded on a desert island and could only have one wrench – an adjustable would be your best bet.
The “bad rap” to the adjustable is that it’s imprecise and likely to round or strip the nut or bolt heads. This is where your attention to the quality of the product is key and why I recommend to always go with a top-shelf, brand name, like the original Crescent Wrench. Horizontal wobble in jaw design is the distinction of quality. You need to have the jaws hold firm and tight when you start applying torque.
Attached is some of our “old iron” at the race paddock. My Son and I did a quick non-scientific evaluation against some of my favorites: 20 and 30-year-old Crescent, Craftsmen and Klein, two contemporary Crescents and an Irwin. By all accounts, the contemporary Crescents came out on top and of equal quality to my long-standing favorite – a 30-yer-old Crescent.

Nothing spectacular

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has all the quality of the Crescent name, maybe too much. After using the wrench on a bolt head or nut the adjustable portion binds and cannot be loosened to remove it form the bolt. I think the machining tolerances are too tight. For reference I use a cheap knock off adjustable wrench for comparison and while the cheaper version did not hold as tight to the bolt it was able to be loosened when finished. The scale that is printed on the side of the jaw is hard to see in the day light making it pretty useless. If I wanted to figure out the size of the bolt head I would just grab a few regular wrenches that looked close in size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my 6 inch crescent wrench in the mail. This thing is a perfect size. Works great in tight spots and the adjustment is smooth. I have crescent adjustable wrenches from 20 years ago in my tool box. This is just as good as the old ones. Great tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little wrench. Adjusts easily and doesn’t slip. Thick durable construction makes me feel confident it won’t break. Jaw opens up to a bigger size to fit most fasseners. I will be buying the other sizes as well.
