Easy installation and usage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The directions looked a bit scary (there were three separate booklets) however it was very straightforward and simple. Before setting up and installing make sure to add a micro sd card if you plan to save recordings, otherwise you'll need to undo the installation. I'm an android and google user so it was a plus when I realized it pairs with google assistant however I needed to upgrade my older prepaid cell phone because it only works with the 6.0 version, kind of a bummer there. Other than that the service and connected energizer app are great!

Great hardware but iffy software

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was initially leary about this product, because there are so many big names out there that have a video doorbell, and never have I heard of Energizer being one of them.
I was slightly excited to get this product installed, as I have many smart cameras around my house including a smart motion light, but I hadn't yet bit on a doorbell. I knew at least that I was getting a brand name that has a reputation behind it so I wasn't completely against the idea of getting this product.
When it arrived I quickly opened the product and did an unboxing to see what it came with. It came with everything necessary to mount it (whether a new installation or an upgrade to an existing doorbell), a transformer to add in line with your existing doorbell chime(if needed), and a USB wireless chime with a wall adapter for it.
Setup instructions were clear and the whole process was pretty painless and fast. I ended up spending a little extra time because it turned out I didn't need the transformer for my old chime (old chime actually didn't work until I removed it, but it did power the unit with and without it). Luckily the instructions state all of this and suggest if your original chime doesn't work to try removing it, which is what worked for me. I was very impressed that it did come with a wireless chime incase I didn't want to use my original one (or if this had been a new install of a doorbell instead of an upgrade). I did try the wireless chime out and it had great volume and a decent selection of chime sound options (very cool perk).
You definitely will want a micro SD card as the app features no built in cloud storage, it only shows live and a snapshot of any motion sensor triggering or doorbell ring notifications when trying to look back. Mentioning the app, that was by far the worst part of this product. When opening the software every time (unless opening it from a notification), you have to click two buttons to get your camera to show the live feed (unless there is another way but after a few weeks use I can't find anything else to get around this).
Also, the app seems very dated and not user friendly. Trying to jump around recorded video footage isn't an easy task and doesn't jump smoothly or show a clip of where you are dragging at until you release and load the video. Notifications of motion sensing aren't clickable to view the video from when they were recorded (who dropped the ball on this feature?), but instead when you click a notification from motion it just shows your a screen shot of when the notification was triggered and then you have to go manually go to camera (4 clicks) and drag to the time when it happened on the time line (where there's no fine control of the timeline). While talking about motion sensing notifications, even on the lowest setting I always get notifications when any car goes down my street, the only way I could get rid of these was to turn motion notifications completely off which is sad.
Overall the image quality on this product is really good, the night vision is very high quality and I never complained about the image day or night. My real complaint was navigation of the app and missing features that most people will expect as standard. The good news about that is they can easily update the software and fix these problems as hardware wise they've already got it locked in.

Energizer video door bell

I was in the market for one, and love the energizer products so this was the one for me. I watched a video on YouTube first, just to get an idea of what type of ingenuity Id need. And honestly, it was quite simple! No expensive electrician needed! Once I got it installed, and uploaded onto my wifi, that was pretty much it! The picture on my phone is crystal clear! Im so glad I didnt buy one of those other brands. Im super happy with this one! I highly recommend it!

Doesn’t seem to be much of a delay either which I think is very important. I wanted a device that lets me know in real time if someone had stepped into my property. This ones a winner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation didn't take long at all and was mostly very easy. I got it to pair with my WiFi easily. I love having this video doorbell to be able to see when someone comes to my front door. I love the look of the doorbell as well....nice and sleek. The wireless chime is loud enough for me to hear from the other room as well. Over all I am impressed with this doorbell and would recommend to anyone.

This is the perfect alternative to some of the popular products out there already. Easy to install, it is hard wired just fyi but not at all difficult. Easy set up with no additional monthly sign ups or monitoring charges, you can get great quality and functionality out of this video doorbell. No need to look elsewhere. Don't hesitate to get this, you won't be disappointed.

We installed this doorbell just in time for the holiday season and package delivery which proved to be so handy. The convenience of being able to see who is ringing your doorbell and then being able to speak through it is awesome. Our door doesn’t have a window or anything to look out of so before it was a guessing game at who was at the door. The doorbell was easy to install and easy to operate and looks nice when installed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice doorbell system I just installed. Using it now instead of my previous doorbell and this one has a nice chime and captures the necessary videos so I know who's at the door. Living in a 2 story it's helpful to not have to go down stairs when I don't need. I've used a Nest before at a friends and it seems very similar although I can't compare 100%. If you are looking for something more affordable with a camera though, this is a solid purchase.
