Neat Little Rope Strap

Bought this in October 2025 when it was launched, and I have only used it a few times. If you like rope straps this is a good quality one that allows you a few options of how to wear your camera with it I personally prefer the sling appraoch with a lighter, smaller camera. It comes in two lengths, so if possible go into a store and try them both out and see what length suits you.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great and very stylish

I’m using a Ricoh GR 3 and was originally using the Cuff strap. It comes in very handy but can give off a very technical look&feel. So when I saw this new Form collection I was immediately interested in the form rope.
I decided on buying the standard length in Ocean, but when I received it, the length of the strap was a bit too short for my usage or shooting style (I’m 185 cm tall for reference), so I returned it and got the longer length in black and was very happy with it.
The rope itself has a soft layer to it so it’s comfortable to wear.
The only reason I’m giving it 4/5 stars is because it’s not as easy or smooth to unclip the anchors, because the attachment points on the rope were flattened for a more aesthetic look (compared to the standard attachment points in e.g. the Cuff).

Great strap for phone

I've use this primarily with my mobile phone and it's particularly useful when out and about taking photos, as the phone is always available for that quick shot. The build quality is excellent and its adjustable length means it can fit anyone.

New…Form…Roped Me In

Going from the Gen 1 neck strap from Peak Design’s kickstarter days to today’s choice of swapping out for the Rope strap was a worthwhile change. Initially, I was worried it would chafe my neck but the Rope strap’s materials are very finely chosen to support the weight of my DSLR and not cause discomfort. As a bonus, it’s such a convenient shape and design that makes it easy to stow away when I’m not using it.
Whenever the day comes and I finally can afford to upgrade my DLSR, this Rope strap will be tagging along.

Perfect For Single Attachment Point Cameras

Perfect road strap for a compact camera. It was ideal for my Sigma BF camera since the camera has only one attachment point. The Color-matched aluminum accessory loop is the best feature.

Simple but great way to carry my camera

Fits right into my Peak Design anchor mount ecosystem. I was looking for something more minimalist to carry my camera, and I also swap it over to my phone sling occasionally (Alpaka). Looks good too!

Looks good, but there are cons

Form rope looks good, but comfort is way less than for example the leash. I should have got the black one, but I tried Kelp because it’s a new color. Looks better on the website than in real life.
What I don’t like is the new “slim” attachment for the anchors, which are much harder to operate if you are used to the normal ones you find on all other PD products. There is a very specific way to press them, but it’s not the one you will immediately try…difficult to explain I guess.
Quality of materials and design seems to be very good like you would expect from usual PD products.
