Good case but camera cutout is a joke…

Bought this case and hate it for iPhone 16 launch day. Waited to comment on it - it’s about what I expect from Peak Design, however the lack of a camera button and no plans to add one make it very disappointing.
Brought vegan leather version for iPhone 16 Pro. Overall an excellent case, with strong magnets. I like the integration with the rest of the peak kit. The one area for improvement is the camera button. It is accomplished with a cutout instead of a capacitance button. The cutout is a bit awkward to use/access.
Overall, I really like this case in every aspect except for its ability to MagSafe charge. I got the one with the loop for my new iPhone 16 pro. However, there’s one giant flaw, and that is the camera bumper. It is positioned such that it pushes the phone out away from a MagSafe charger, which means it doesn’t sit flush, and negatively affects whether the phone will actually go into charging mode or not. When it falls in and out of charging mode all night long, it buzzes when it re-seats itself. I was going absolutely nuts trying to figure out why I was getting buzzed all night with notifications. Turns out it goes in and out of charging. This has caused lost sleep, wasted time with apple support, a phone that’s not fully charged in the morning, and now that I’ve figured out what’s going on, a really disappointed customer. So… great case, but buyer beware if you had hoped to successfully MagSafe charge with this case. :(
I bought this case immediately when the phone was released -- it would have been my third purchase of this case, having had it for the 14 and the 15. However, due to the disappointing cutout for the camera control, I had to return it and replace with an Apple case. Not only was it difficult to manipulate the camera control, but the sharp edges on either side of the cutout were painful. Bums me out since I have other accessories that depend on this case, and they are useless. We need a proper control like Apple and others are implementing.
I've owned a couple Peak cases and it's been nice to see how the overall design and finishes have gotten progressively nicer. That trend continues on the new 16 cases however the choice to have a cutout for the new camera control button is a miss for me. I understand cases get rushed for new phones but feel like this choice, at this price point, could've benefited from some internal usability testing.
It’s my second PD iPhone case. This time I chose a nice color, with matching colored buttons. As a case, it’s relatively slim and quite protective. I am using it with both the car support and the bike support and find it very useful for this reason.
