Poor Volume Control
on March 27, 2026

The acoustics were fine, however the volume was a big issue for me. They do NOT turn up very high even compared to my JBL headphones (which are also more quiet than usual). I ended up returning them and I do not recommend them unless volume isn’t something your care about.

Buy the Tune Flex 2 instead.

I have owned two pair of JBL Tune Flex 2 and loved them. I lost my first pair and gave my second away upon buying these. Bad decision. They fall out of the ear. Hair will trigger the controls which send it haywire. Bass isn't near as rich. Also, within 6 months the right earbud quit on me entirely. Somehow my upgrade turned into a downgrade.

We appreciate your feedback on our JBL Live Pro 2 TWS. We understand that the fit and bass performance did not meet your expectations. For the best fit and sound quality, try angling the ear tip downward, gently twisting the earbud into place, and ensuring it sits securely in your ear. We also recommend testing each of the included ear tip sizes to find the most comfortable and effective fit. We invite you to explore the JBL Headphones app as well, where you can customize or disable certain features and gestures, and adjust the EQ to better match your preferences. Our colleague has sent you an email with the next steps regarding the right earbud. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to reply directly to that email.

Tips fall off when removing the ear buds.

I've had these for a few weeks. First, the good. The sound is good. The noise cancelling worked well on a recent plane trip. But, the reason I give them two stars is that the tips come off. I've tried the three sizes. A few times the tip remained in my ear. Which is interesting to remove. Other times it falls off, and I have to search for it. I lost one on an airplane and sat for the rest of the flight listening to the noise in the cabin. I also find that the buds do not stay secure in my ears. Again, I tried all three sizes of tips. Movement causes the earbuds to loosen. Fortunately, I have felt this and repositioned them before the entire earbud fell out. I'm unhappy with this purchase. But I'm stuck with these.

Fantastic for Indoor Use

These earbuds work very well, the ambient aware and noise canceling are very effective and easy to switch between with the right settings chosen for the earbuds. I haven't used talk thru, so I cannot comment on that unfortunately.
They have a setting to select whether they are being used for audio or video, and I have yet to have any audio desync issues; or if I did they were such a minor issue to fix I completely forgot about them.
Now, the earbuds allow you to tap them for some basic controls, standard fare, but these ones are apparently sensitive to light. When used outside, it seems that sunlight or the wind can activate the gesture controls. Usually it only makes the noise that alerts you to the fact you attempted to use the feature, but occasionally it will actually trigger the gesture control and switch between sound modes. It is extremely annoying to keep hearing the "beep" because I want to use them outside while walking or doing yard work. I found a small post Reddit about people with similar issues, so I don't believe it's limited to my earbuds alone.
I find that they fit in the ear well and don't cause discomcort; but occasionally when I smile it can dislodge the earbuds from their stable position. It's easy to tell when it happens, and they usually don't fall out, but it does happen to me at least. I did go through the setup to make it fit well, but I am willing to accept the possibility I messed it up; so your mileage may vary.
The battery is not something I've ever had an issue with—and I only occasionally plug the thing in—but I don't usually need to use the earbuds for anything longer than an hour or two.
Overall, I am very happy with the product, though be weary if you want a pair for use outside; at least in sunlight.
