Disappointing for a Premium Phone. I love samsung!
on October 5, 2026
Posted by: KayBed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love my Fold 8, but unfortunately my experience has been disappointing. For such an expensive premium phone, I expected much better performance and screen quality.
One of the biggest problems is overheating. The phone gets noticeably hot during normal use, which is frustrating and makes me concerned about long-term performance. I have also experienced lag on the screen, where the phone does not always respond as smoothly or quickly as it should.
The crease down the middle of the folding screen is also much more noticeable than I expected. I understand that a folding phone may have some type of crease, but at this price point I expected it to be less distracting.
The most concerning issue is a strange round imprint that has appeared on the screen. It almost looks like a keyboard or circular pressure mark underneath the display. It is very noticeable and makes the screen look damaged or defective.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the Fold 8. Between the overheating, screen lag, noticeable center crease, and the strange imprint on the display, this does not feel like the premium experience I paid for. For a flagship device at this price, Samsung needs to do much better with quality control and durability.

Response from Samsung USBy R&R, October 6, 2026
Hi there KayBed,
Thank you for sharing your experience. The Galaxy Z Fold features an expansive folding display, flexible multitasking capabilities, and versatile cameras. Your concerns regarding recurring heat, screen lag, and the visible imprint are important and deserve careful attention. If the phone becomes too hot to use comfortably, please stop using it and allow it to cool down.
A Samsung technician can evaluate the imprint and crease concerns through Samsung's repair support. We have partnered with uBreakiFix as a repair location. Please consider taking your device to your local uBreakiFix for examination. When describing the display symptoms, be sure to mention the recurring heat and lag. Thank you for sharing your feedback with Samsung.

Beautiful device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the ZFold 7 because of the updated appearance, processor, screen, and the weight reduction over the previous models. The durability over this last year has been put to the test and I would have to say that it passed every single time. I look forward to seeing what Samsung does beyond the ZFold 8 and even the earbuds, watches, and the long awaited smart glasses.

The Peak of Foldable Innovation — A Long-Time Fold
on October 5, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a loyal Samsung customer who has followed the foldable journey through the Z Fold 3 and Z Fold 5, upgrading to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been an absolute game changer. Having used this device daily for almost a year, I can confidently say it represents the absolute perfection of the foldable concept.
Samsung has truly listened to its community. Compared to earlier generations, the refined hinge design, lighter profile, and practically invisible crease make everyday usability unmatched. The outer screen is perfectly proportioned for quick one-handed tasks, while unfolding the main display turns it into an unbeatable productivity and media powerhouse. Multitasking, running split-screen workflows, and viewing content feel fluid and effortless.
Battery life consistently lasts through demanding workdays, and the overall durability over nearly twelve months of rigorous daily use has been rock solid. Samsung hasn't just built a novelty phone—they have mastered the ultimate all-in-one productivity device.
If you are considering stepping into the foldable world or upgrading from an older generation, the Z Fold 7 is in a league of its own. Five stars all around!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really impressed with the Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra. The design feels premium, the large inner display is amazing for watching videos, multitasking, and getting work done, and the phone feels fast and smooth in everyday use.
The cameras take great photos, the battery lasts well throughout the day, and the overall performance is excellent. I also love having a phone that can open up into a tablet-sized screen when I need more space.
If you’re looking for a premium foldable with a beautiful display, strong performance, and a unique design, I definitely recommend the Fold7 Ultra. It’s one of the best foldable phones I’ve used! 👍📱

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fold 7 has more than met expectations. The functionality of this phone is unmatched. The processor speed is awesome. Can multitask without a second thought. The Ai capabilities are insane! You ask and it will do. The giant inner screen is what its all about though, have the ability to have multiple widows open and functional at the same time is a time saver for sure. Of you a gamer or like watching videos then this is definitely the phone for you. Way to go Samsung. 👏
