Bought a supposed new phone case and came without packaging as if it was used or already opened and just thrown loosely in a package and mailed, also does not fit the phone correct if there is a defect on it where a portion of the rubber outer casing does not snap or fit onto/around the hard plastic shell that goes around the phone. For the price would have expected better for a new item purchase

I've had the heavy duty Otterbox ono my ancient (6 years) Samsung. Everybody else's has damage. Not mine, so I didn't even think about the plastic clear thing offered by the phone company. I squirmed a bit at the cost (with the scren protector) but did not hesitate to bite the bullet. Couldn't be more pleased. It's "stickier" than the old one, and I appreciate that too, although I use a full holster from another company to protect it as I'm outside a lot, and it wants to stay in there. I did my usual compulsive research even though I was absolutely sold based on previous experience. There's just nothing better out there.

Every time i pull it out of my pocket the top right corner of the rubber part has popped off the hard plastic part. Kind of annoying for as much as they are.

I've used OB cases on three previous Galaxy models, and they perform their primary function (protecting the phone from damage due to drops) very well. They're usually hard to get the phone into right out of the box, which means it should fit pretty snug, but the one major downside of this particular case is the charging port flap/hinge/cover peels most of the bottom half of the case off the phone, causing it to loosen significantly over time. Shouldn't affect the drop protection too much, but it definitely will let dust in.
