I would give zero stars if I could. Useless.

Filled this with water and sat it in the basement awaiting an emergency that never came, thank God. Today. opened it to change the water. The cap was broke with no force, no excessive pressure. I see that many others have had similar experiences. Perhaps Igloo should replace them beyond the warranty, or at least make a replacement part available for purchase. It is irresponsible to make a large plastic jug that is useless, only to fill landfills.

I bought six and all the caps are broken. Do not recommend at all because i will pay for new caps but they do not offer it on the website.

Love the shape of this container for packing in my trailer but the cap broke after the second use on one and two months later the second cap broke.. I have three of these two with broken caps and only one functional. I pack these in the corner of my trailer secured with nothing stacked on or near the containers. Without the cap these are useless. My square(different brand) water jug is 7 years old and going strong.

I have 4 of these jugs. The caps have broken on 2 of them. It appears Igloo doesn’t want to service their customers by offering replacement caps for purchase. Won’t be buying anymore. Pretty stupid to buy this product knowing the cap problem that will render the product useless, especially at what it cost. Don’t waste your money.

I bought 2 of these container las December 2023, I use them to go hunting. after my hunt they both stayed outside in the shade. no problems with the caps. I don't buy for the "lifetime purpose". as long as they served the immediate purpose, they payed for themselves.

Broken caps make this hard to recommend

When the caps were workThing as expected these were a great addition to our kit on weeks long canoe expeditions in the Everglades. No fresh water out there and poly bags get chewed through by thirsty racoons.
Work around for cracked cap: Place two layers of poly food film over stopper and screw on cracked cap. This holds the stopper in place well enough to hold water when the hurricanes come.

Broken cap lids

I have 7 of 6 gal water tanks all my lids are broke and u can not find replacement. And I give it a one star intill they make replacement cap lids.
