Rechargeable headlight with good features & price.

The FL20R is a lightweight headlamp with 3 light settings plus twin red LEDs for special nighttime situations. Additionally, the headlamp tilts with 3 indexed settings. The unit includes a rechargeable battery pack and alternatively works with 3-AAA batteries. A USB cable was included to charge the battery pack (removal from headlamp required). The head strap includes a quick-release connect and a tacky feel so the light doesn’t slide on your head/hat. The trapezoidal shaped I/O button is easy to locate while wearing. The non-adjustable button settings are M-H-L-Red-Off. Lumen are rated at 265-430-52. You can rapidly toggle thru or after 10-15 seconds at any white light setting the next button tap turns off the headlamp. With its non-adjustable flood view design, the FL20R is fairly bright for close illumination but diminishes quickly beyond 30 feet which means this headlamp great for closeup situations (i.e., working on the car; cooking on a grill; setting up a tent) but not to be used like a handheld with a good spot. Last, Coast makes a quality product and backs that standard with a lifetime warranty and great customer service.

I am very excited to review this flashlight! I am very pleased with the performance, how light it is, the light beam is amazing. The different beam settings allows from a soft to a bright light which helps tremendously if you are looking at things at a close range or far away. The head band is comfortable and found the Quick-release buckle to be a great feature! I have long hair and installing and removing the headband makes it a breeze, it won't pull your hair and make it a painful deal every time you put it on!, the battery is rechargeable and it lasts a really good amount of time. Will definitely recommend this product!

Multiple Amazing Features

When I received this product I was shocked on how lightweight and comfortable it was. The light has 4 adjustable positions for incredible ease of use and it saves on positioning your head to get the light right where you want it to shine. The head band itself is very elastic and still maintains a tight fit with the help of grips so it does not slide around. The headband also has a easy to use clip which helps remove the headband without pulling your hair taking it off like other brands. Battery life on the light is above average and it is simple to recharge or you can substitute the rechargeable battery for 3 AAA batteries.

All around pretty great!

I am a coast product tester and I received this product just a couple of days after they let me know I had become a tester. This product is all around pretty great. The band was perfect for me. It has a easy clip for changing it around in a hurry and it didn't give me a head ache at . It stayed bright for several hours and the fact it was rechargeable and battery packed was very convenient! I would recommend this product to everyone! Awesome!

Great for smaller tasks

I recieved this product for free but the opinion is soley mine and not influenced at all by that. The fl20r is a very lightweight headlamp. It feels as if your wearing nothing. It is decently bright and great for smaller tash such as using the grill or any other smaller task were extra hands free light is handy. I used it while walking the dog and to be honest it wasn't bright enought for that. It is a fixed beam with no adjustments to focus but the button is responsive and easy to operate , one thing I really liked about it is that once it is on for 10 seconds or so when you hit the button again it turns off and don't cycle through the different light modes, if you wait under 10 seconds it does cycle through the modes , a simple thing but something that always bugged me about my other headlamps. The head band has a grippy material whick holds the band it place very well. It has a 4 position angle that is very easy to use and find the correct angle for the job. The rechargeable feature is a must have and works very well in this lamp the only thing I would knock it for is that you have to remove the battery to charge it, my unit also came with a micro USB cable , but that might just be a pre production model as it does say it uses USB c which is far superior. Overall this is a great light for the 30 dollar price , as long as your not looking to light up the whole yard it's a very solid buy. As always coasts lifetime warranty is amazing and I have never been so pleased with the way the company treats its customers

This headlight really impressed me, I was skeptical at first, but was quickly proven wrong. This FL20R headlight is the new standard for the headlight to have in the kitchen drawer and in all the vehicles, and in the toolbox. This headlight has a very easy mode switch and the modes offer every brightness option you may need. My favorite feature of this FL20R is the flexibility it gives you is this the removable rechargeable battery pack that has the micro usb charger port right on the battery pack, and it comes with a charging cable , and the light to let you know it’s charged! So if you really need the headlight you can just use 3 x AAA batteries while the battery charges. Love the new option of the removable battery pack that is easily recharged and charges super fast, but if you prefer to pop in batteries you can use it that way too. Definitely going to be buying more for Christmas gifts.

Light weight

Received as gift! Really like the light weight, combined with the ability to either use the included rechargeable battery or AAA batteries. Quick release is great for use on either helmet or your head/also the siliconized bands help hold it in place. Light output is great for area work, jogging, etc.
