Suction power is excellent. Great on solid surface. Some carpet styles will require more push, lower the pile better it vacuums. Did go a YubeTube video by Tech Angel for better explanation of putting together as handle has to be installed on a slight slant. Removing canister was a little hard if one has weak hands. For my needs as a 2nd vacuum in a downstairs w/ light to medium usage a good buy.
