It's amazing what a simple fan upgrade can do to improve comfort and brightness in the house. I looked high and low for a smart LED 52" ceiling fan and only came to realize Govee made one after installing a couple of the smaller Govee 20" ceiling fan with lights in our house. The fan circulates a large volume of air while being incredibly quiet. It comes with a separate remote control, which is a place, but it only wires directly to a single switch. That is, there are no separate power wires for the lights and fan like you'd see in a traditional ceiling fan. If you have 4 wires coming out of your ceiling junction box, cap off the extra red or black hot wire as it will not be used. This 52" Govee fan replaced our original 52" Harbor Breeze ceiling fan.
A very nice fan and it works with the Govee eco system as a bonus

The light is very bright. The design aesthetics are inline with most other LED fan lights combo devices. The device works great with one exception, I can not get Alexa to differentiate between the top and bottom light to control it. My wife likes it so it is good to go. We have a ton of Govee products and they have been wonderful.
Quiet fan with great air movement. For those that said it was too fast, Govee updated the software for the fan speeds.
Item comes securely packaged. Please make sure to keep screws from ceiling box outlet as they will be needed to secure the ceiling fan mount to the outlet box, if that is your install option.
I used the box for support when mounting the fan blades. Whatever color fan blade you see while screwing them in place is what will be showing when the fan is hung. I later switched them from the black in the picture to brown as that is what the wife wanted.
When attaching the downrod to the fan the two screws just screw into the side of the metal, so make them a little snug. You will still have the pin and clip for most of the support.
I decided to wait and place the bottom light on once the fan was installed. I've done it both ways and it would be easier to do it earlier if you have discomfort with shoulder movements over your head.
This is my second Govee fan of this type and I plan on at least two more. Each remote links to the individual fan when using the Govee app. The light is extremely bright, color can be changed, and brightness dimmed. This fan can move some air and do it quietly.
Ok fan, but be mindful if motor noise will bother you.

Overall the fan is ok, it does fan stuff. Installation wasn't horrible, couple spots the instructions could have been a bit more clear but once I layed out all the pieces the install made sense. The only issue I have with the fan is that it is less than 30 days installed now, and the motor is already making noise. I have an old fan in the house been running nearly none stop for 11 years doesn't have any motor noise. So to say I was disappointed in a DC motor making noise while running with less than 30 days on it. I have it installed in my garage so I can deal with it, but had it been in a primary living space I would have been less tolerant. I still love Govee products, they just need a bit more R&D on the fan space.
The Govee 52" fan is a case of great hardware held back by poor Matter integration and short-sighted wiring. If you don't mind relying entirely on the Govee app and only have a single-switch wiring setup, you'll love how quiet and powerful it is. However, if you want seamless smart home integration with Apple or Google, or have traditional dual switches, you will likely find controlling this fan to be a massive pain.
The Govee 52" Smart Ceiling Fan with LED Light is, without exaggeration, one of the best smart home upgrades I’ve made. It’s the perfect blend of performance, design, and next‑level lighting tech — all at a price that feels almost too good for what you get.
Airflow & Comfort — Quiet, Powerful, and Efficient This fan moves air beautifully. With a strong 5000 CFM output and whisper‑quiet 30 dB operation, it cools the room fast without ever calling attention to itself. Even at higher speeds, the motor stays smooth and silent. The reversible DC motor is a huge bonus — downdraft for summer, updraft for winter — making it useful year‑round.
Lighting That Feels Like Magic The lighting is where this fan becomes something special. The RGBWW main light paired with the RGBICWW backlight creates a dual‑zone glow that’s unlike anything I’ve seen in a ceiling fan. Thanks to LuminBlend+ 16‑bit processing, colors look richer, transitions are buttery smooth, and the ambience is customizable down to the smallest detail.
The tunable range from 1000K to 10000K is insane — you can go from warm candlelight to crisp daylight with a swipe. Whether you’re gaming, relaxing, or working, the lighting adapts perfectly.
Smart Control Done Right Govee’s app integration is seamless. Scenes, schedules, brightness, color effects, fan speed — everything is intuitive. The included remote is great, but voice control and automation make it feel truly modern.
Design & Build The low‑profile design looks clean and premium. It fits beautifully in bedrooms, game rooms, offices, and medium‑sized living spaces. The black finish gives it a sleek, understated look that blends with almost any décor.
I literally just got this fan set up and I love it so far! I made the mistake of never replacing my ceiling fan in one of the main rooms of the house, instead I put up a light fixture. The last few years has been noticeable “dead air”, so I had to fix that. It’s got some power to it for sure! Definitely a noticeable difference in the air, and SOOO many lighting scenes to choose from!
Replaced a 7 year old fan because the lights stopped working. This fan is amazing and was easy to setup. I have 3 wall switches, 1 for the light, the other to control the fan, and the switch on a different wall. I capped my red wire and it works great but I had to buy a wiring kit to extend the wires for a longer down rod. The other issue is I haven't found a way to turn the fan on /off with Alexa. I can only voice control the lights.
