Close enough...

I have been using one form or another, of the Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard, since the 90's; they are always very good. I like this one, it is very close to when MS was making them, it has been a while since I bought a brand new one, as my 90's versions still work great. My biggest complaints with this new one are: * It is not exactly like the older ones, my hand position is different. * No USB ports, with no backlighting, I cant plug in any "battle lights" * No app to program the keys. * Too light, the older ones were heavy, they never slid around, this one has a tendency to move too easily.
Don't get me wrong, I like this keyboard, but it just isn't the same.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not quite the MS Ergo 4000.

Same shape, but the key action is a little softer and weaker than the original MS product. An acceptable replacement but a little disappointing.

This is the French Canadian layout with english labels. The Enter key is NOT the regular english layout. This is NOT the ENGLISH keyboard you THINK it is.

Not for the small of hand

I’m returning it because it is too big for my hands. Otherwise it is a very good keyboard. As an accountant, I need the attached numberpad which is not on the Bluetooth version. I’m 5’1” so my hands re probably smaller than many but I’ve used any different keyboards in my time and never had this issue before. Love the ergonomic design! I always purchase keyboards with this feature.

I have been using Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboards for many years. This is not a replacement! It looks exactly the same, but doesn't quite feel the same. That may be due to wear on my current keyboard. For me the biggest issue is the lack of support for Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. I use this software to change the function of the (previously) programmable keys to make them more useful in my day to day activities. This keyboard has those keys, you just can't change them. The box has "Ergonomic Keyboard Designed by Microsoft" prominently shown. So why disable this functionality. Nowhere does it say it is not compatible with the above mentioned Microsoft software.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This keyboard is not exactly like a real Microsoft Ergo keyboard but it's the closest I've found. The space feels similar but the keys don't have the same "click" if you know what I mean. It's missing most of the hot keys up top but that's not a huge issue for me. It also doesn't have pop up legs to angle it but I just used a couple of strips of the HUGE box it came in to prop it up.
